How Do I Navigate a Database?

Navigating a database.

These instructions are for any article you're looking up or any topic you're looking up. Students should support their theses with other works, but it isn't always necessary. It's also a good way to find ideas as long as you don't plagiarize.

There is one assignment for which you will need to use the database. However, I also have it saved as a pdf file and linked to a page.  The article is in reference to "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" by James Thurber,  "Coitus Interruptis: Sexual Symbolism in 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty'" by Hal Blythe and Charlie Sweet.

Take notes.

Go to the NSU site. Choose Watson Library.

From the side menu choose "Database Directory," then "Literature Database."

Choose either JSTOR or Literary Reference Center.

Look up and read the article you need.
