Time Magazine's Variant Covers

Time Magazine oftentimes releases different covers in different markets. Here are three important examples of this. Please note that in the first two cases both stories appear in the issue. But the third issue as far as I can tell does not contain the variant cover story at all.

1.Answer these in this order. Why would they do this? Decide for yourself. Then look up why they did this if you can find anything.

2. Is this some form of censorship? Define censorship.
